Call for Posters

The process of formulating the conference program of our International Conference on Opioids is moving along nicely. The "Call for Papers" deadline has passed and we have received an overabundance of meritorious submissions. Thank you to all who have submitted presentation abstracts.

The Conference Program Committee continues to invite the submission of abstracts for "Posters" to be presented at our conference. Poster topics regarding opioids may include:
  • Preclinical research
  • Clinical research
  • Interesting case reports
  • Medically-challenging case reports
  • Review topics
Papers presented at recent Pain or Pharmacology meetings are eligible for presentation. Poster submitters will be notified in February 2012 regarding selection of their proposals. Those accepted will be provided with a poster board on which to display their materials. The poster board surface area is 4' high and 8' wide. Posters should be on thin poster paper or cardboard. You will also be provided with materials with which to fasten your poster to the board.

Please submit a one-page abstract of your poster to the attention of Paul.Sloan@uky.edu.

The Spanish Society of Prison Health is pleased to host its 1st International Congress in Madrid in november 2012.

This congress is intended to be a true meeting point for healthcare professionals worldwide with an interest in prison health, whether they come from the correctional healthcare field itself or the healthcare community at large: a knowledge hub of shorts where we can all share valuable experience and scientific insight related to our daily work.

Local and international experts will present their latest work on issues regarding the most common diseases in prison. In addition, a number of dedicated guidelines and workshops will provide an opportunity to learn and exchange views on key aspects of prison healthcare practice.
